Wildflower Walk

Several Fridays ago, our troop did a wildflower walk at one of the local state parks.  The weather was a bit windy and chilly (the park is on one of the lakes), but once we got into the woods, the wind died down a bit. We did have a huge mud patch to walk through. The girls loved it, the parents groaned.

There weren’t really any flowers, except for a huge patch of trillium. But we saw deer tracks, various birds, and various other plants and trees. It was a fun walk.  I didn’t hear very much of what our guide said, or take many pictures, since I spent most of my time trying to corral various Daisies

When the walk was finished, we went to a shelter (indoors) and did a simple flower craft the guide brought with her. It was very nice of her to do that. Thank you letters are on the agenda at our next meeting.
