Last week saw a few changes in activities. I pulled Bean out of ballet and tap at the beginning of the month. She likes it, but each week she complained about going. I didn’t want to deal with that anymore because it was just one more stressor that I don’t need. So, now that there was an opening in our extra-curricular schedule, I signed her up for ice skating lessons (something she’s has been asking for since she was 3). I also signed myself and Bug up as well. Both girls like it after one lesson, and I didn’t do too badly after not having stepped foot in a rink in over 20 years.
Bean also recently developed an interest in chess, so after teaching her the basics, was able to get her into the chess club at the co-op she belongs to. We’ll see how this goes.
Math – Bean completed Chapter 5 (coins/change) in MM2A. She didn’t score too well on the test, 75%, but I think it’s something she’s going to have to practice.

ETC – Finished Lesson 10, 11, 12, and most of Lesson 13. I have reached the point that I want to get this over with. We still have one more ETC book left, but I’m debating saving it for the beginning of 3rd grade, or if we should just do it now to get phonics out of the way completely.
FLL – Lessons 70-76 completed. We’re finally done with prepositions! It was like a repeat of nouns from FLL1.

Science – We did Lesson 4: Earth/Moon & Mars.
Spanish – We completed Lesson 5 (Family) and started Lesson 6 (People).
Spelling – We completed Days 16-19.
